MY-INFLUENCE is Malaysia's transparent KOL and KOC marketplace that connects brands directly with verified Malaysian content creators. We eliminate agencies and middlemen — brands see real pricing, creators get fair pay, and all payments are protected by escrow.

How does the escrow payment work?

When a brand hires a creator, the campaign fee is held in escrow by MY-INFLUENCE. Funds are only released to the creator after the brand approves the submitted content, or automatically after 7 days if the brand does not respond. This protects both parties.

How does MY-INFLUENCE verify KOL follower counts?

MY-INFLUENCE uses automated daily syncing to pull real-time follower counts directly from public TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Xiaohongshu profiles. Our anti-fraud engine detects sudden follower spikes and flags suspicious accounts, ensuring brands work only with authentic creators.

What platforms are supported for Malaysian KOLs?

MY-INFLUENCE supports TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Xiaohongshu (小红书). Creators can link all four platforms and their combined follower count is used in the matchmaking algorithm.

How much does MY-INFLUENCE charge?

Registration is free for both brands and creators. MY-INFLUENCE charges a 5% platform fee to the brand and deducts 5% from the creator payout only on successfully completed campaigns. There are no monthly subscriptions or listing fees.

How much does MY-INFLUENCE cost?

It's free to join and there are no monthly fees. Brands pay a 5% service fee on top of the creator's price. Creators pay a 5% platform fee from what they earn, except on their 3 fee-free beta jobs.

When does the creator get paid?

When the brand approves the content. If the brand doesn't respond within 7 days of the latest content submission, the payment releases automatically. A brand can ask for changes up to 2 times; each resubmission starts a new 7 days. Creators can then cash out from RM 100, and it arrives in 3–5 business days.

What if I'm not happy with the content?

Ask for changes, or raise a dispute before the payment is released. Our team reviews both sides and decides. If it ends in a full refund, everything you paid, including the service fee, goes back to your original card. A dispute can also end in a split.

Who owns the content?

The creator keeps ownership. When the job is completed, the brand gets a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use the content for the agreed campaign purpose and duration.

What if the brand never pays?

A creator never starts before the payment is held in escrow. If a brand doesn't pay within 48 hours of accepting, the order expires and the creator's slot is released.

How are creators and brands verified?

Creators' follower and engagement numbers are synced from their social accounts and checked for sudden fake-looking spikes. Brands must have their SSM business registration approved before they can post a job.

What is the beta?

Creators who join through our beta programme get a 0% platform fee on their first 3 jobs, so they keep 100% of the creator's price. The programme is limited to 100 Founding Creators.

Is my personal data safe?

We handle personal data under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010. Our privacy policy lists exactly what we collect, who processes it and where.
